Islamic Geometry

This Ramadan we have started a new tradition. Interesting workshops! This is the time of the year with shorter working hours and a bit more time to think out of the everyday. We invited Eric Broug, an international expert of Islamic Geometric Patterns, to explain to us and our invited partners, clients and guests the interesting underlying geometric rules of these decorative patterns that can be found on historic buildings as well as in recent modern architecture. The full-day workshop was run twice, on two subsequent days, to provide an opportunity for everyone to attend. While this is not strictly facade engineering, facade engineers tend to be open-minded people with a wide range of interests. If you have missed our invitation, Eric's books are available in larger bookshops or online.
