Last Thursday Agnes and Guillermo gave a 2-hour lecture on Facade Engineering at one of the Dubai universities, followed by one-to-one sessions with the students discussing feasible facade system options for their semester studio projects. The students are in their 3rd year of B Arch programme and working on 6-9 story residential buildings for this assignment. Each different, some very good! We were told we inspired them - but in reality, it was a mutually inspiring interaction; it had been energizing to see all the talent and hope, the innocence of students who believe in logical and pure, design-driven architecture.
