Zaha Hadid's Opus by Omniyat, located in Dubai Business Bay, is under construction. The project consists of two 19 story towers connected by a bridge, with the inner facades forming a seamless fluid glass surface, resembling melted ice. Following Agnes's involvement at design stage, we are now finalizing the system design, materials, technologies used, develop system integrated external lighting system, address changes to the geometry. We will also review the contractor's design, attend design workshops, performance testing, carry out site inspections. We have recently visited a potential glass processor who prepared samples: large project size double curved glass pieces. The project utilizes single curved, hot bent double curved, cold bent double curved glass panels, installed in skylight systems, wall systems and soffit systems, in perfect transformation, interfacing with the external flat facades. Undoubtedly one of the most challenging project in the region, we are using advanced 3D computing technology and building on our earlier experience and research work in cold bend glazing methods to deliver this project.
