To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the company, Koltay Facades organized a one-of-a-kind Iftar during the 2026 Ramadan for Koltay employees and major clients. The event took place in the desert on the 26th of February. Perfect timing for a cozy retreat before the summer heat and other unexpected disturbances.

The team left collectively from the Business Bay to join the desert ride. The 4x4s headed to the Maleha desert in Sharjah, where the bravest participated in an intense dune bashing session in the golden hours, surrounded by the magnificent desert landscape. Once the cars were left aside, the extended Koltay family had the chance to conquer the dunes with sandboards sliding down the slopes before the "corporate" photo session. The sunset caught the group on top of the dunes, where they broke the fast with some local snack and drinks before heading back to the desert camp, where a series of activities waited: Archery, stargazing with telescope and astronomy lecture, campfire and some cozy beanbags to relax under the stars. The atmosphere was both serene and familial.

The night continued with a presentation going through the highlights of the past 15 years of the company including technical presentation and general overview the most interesting and prestigious projects, personal anecdotes and adventures with the company illustrating most of the challenges the team overcame. Everyone presented their most memorable moments, from the testing of the glass slide of the Sky Views, the parametric design of the Museum of the Future, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the facade industry through the invention of cast glass to disappearing, invisible building maintenance units...and the list went on and on, one marvel after another. This highly inspiring presentation ended just in time to serve the barbecue dinner. Once the dinner was over, everyone gathered around the campfire and shared the last moments of this magical night.
