Sharing and gaining knowledge at Koltay Façades, major recent events:

Agnes was invited as one of the key speakers at "Facade Design And Engineering 2014" conference, held in Dubai on 7-9 September. The technical presentation explained the different glazed facade systems used in high-rise construction, from the aspect of defense against water penetration. The audience could learn about face sealed systems, back drained systems with compressed gaskets and pressure equalized systems, through detailed explanation and project examples.

We had several KF team trips as well, as it is always interesting to see how the materials we specify are made and learn about manufacturing limitations and practicality from the experts. We visited glass float lines and glass processing plants in the summer and now we visited the region's largest aluminium extruder and Dubai's very own aluminium smelter plant with the whole team. We were amazed by the robust size of this facility, and the technology it uses.
