Koltay Façades was appointed by the main contractor, BAM, during their tendering phase. Following their award, BAM appointed us to provide ongoing technical assistance in developing working solutions with the subcontractors and oversee the successful realization of the project until handover.
THE CALLIGRAPHY
One of the most peculiar aspects of this projects is for sure the arabic calligraphy that decorates the shiny outer skin of the building: more than 700 different letters that will be the only transparent part of the entire envelope.
Amongst the different options, flat glass was opted for. Koltay Façade scripted a specific parametric flattening tool to allow a fast and efficient design and manufacturing of those double glazed units.
